VESA endeavours to assist as many communities in developing countries as it can, in every way possible. We are personally sponsoring Bim, a seventeen year old boy who has dropped out of school in Fiji. We will now be assisting Bim through Mechanical College. His lifelong aspiration has been to be a mechanic and thanks to your efforts he now has a chance of achieving this admirable goal.
In Ecuador, VESA sponsors five children from villages the volunteers have previously helped out in. Wellington, Lester, Brian, Evelyn and Fernando now all have the opportunity to attend school in Misahualli and continue to practice and enhance their English on a daily basis. Thanks to VESA and our volunteers' contributions; their uniforms, tuition, meals, transportation and extracurricular activities are paid for making it possible for them to attend school rather than having to drop out for financial reasons. All children report weekly to our coordinator in Ecuador and are quite proud to hand in their report cards each term to show us their grades. They also send photos proudly wearing their new uniforms. Always with a big smile.
